Freight Service Department directs its activities towards the completion of transport activities in a mutually satisfactory way, both for the users of transport services and for Serbian Railways in the sense of its rational business operation.

Serbian Railways operates the carriage of around 14,1m tons of goods annually (in 2008) and around 4.338,6m nett-tonne kilometres, thus operating:
