Train transportation by Nostalgija with departure at 13:25h in the duration of 2:20 h. Bus transfer with the departure at 18:00h to the station Branešci. Branešci 19:00h – Belgrade 22:40h.

VRŠAC

In the Southeastern part of Banat, only 83km (by railway line) from Belgrade, town Vršac is situated, old Banat town with turbulent past, rich cultural tradition and famous and beautiful vineyards. The town where famous Serbian comedy playwright Jovan Sterija Popović and one of the most famous Serbian artists of modern times - Paja Jovanović were born.

Journey by train "Romantika" is offering you possibility to visit protected monuments of culture: Vladičanski dvor (the Bishop’s Palace) (18th century), Orthodox Church “Sent Nicholas” (“Sveti Nikolaj“), the cathedral “Saint Gerhard” („Sveti Gerhard“),

PALIĆ

Over 160 years of tourist tradition of lake Palić both as swimming spot and as summer resort with medicinal properties, blessed with the beautiful nature and numerous opportunities for entertainment are a good reason for you to travel and enjoy with us.
On lake Palić, you can visit zoo, botanical garden, and art gallery of Marija Gabrić and also engage in sightseeing over Split Alley.
You can enjoy sun bathing at a separate beach either for women or men, or enjoy bathing in thermal pools. If you are fond of fishing, tennis and beach volley-ball, you can enjoy them also
There are boats and pedal boats of all sizes. Bicycles or sailing boats can be rented during summer season.

SREMSKI KARLOVCI

On the slopes of mountain Fruška Gora, on 77th kilometer of Belgrade-Novi Sad railway line, the town Sremski Karlovci is situated. A little town of rich history, good wine and poetry.
Journey by train “Romantika” is offering you the possibility for the sightseeing of the Patriarchal Residence, Magistrate, Theological School, the fountain "Four Lions" and to visit a famous Lyceum of Karlovac, Orthodox Church "St Nikos", Orthodox Church Treasury, the Chapel of the Virgin Mary of Peace, the church of "St Peter and Paul". Visit the famous birth place of the poet Branko Radičević , Stražilovo-the oasis of peace and greenery and taste the wine from the oldest vineyards!

We recommend:
Restaurant "Dunav", on Dunav’s bank, guest house "Četiri lava" and restaurant “Sremski kutak" located in the centre of the town.
Possibility of sightseeing organization of Fruška Gora monasteries and wine tours.

SMEDEREVO

Located on the bank of the Danube, 93 km southeast of Belgrade by railway line, is Smederevo, the town of Despot Đurđe Branković and Byzantine Princess, that is, the wife of the Despot, known as the “Cursed Eirene” among common people. The place of rich history and good wine.
Travelling by the "Romantika" train, you are offered the possibility to visit the tower of Smederevo, and Mali grad, the Orthodox Church "St George" (1854) and the church "The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary” (15th century), the Building of Gymnasium (19th century), the Court of the Danube County, as well as the famous old mulberry tree of Karađorđe, planted more than 2 centuries ago.

 

Tourist Organization of Smederevo is offering you the possibility of guided sightseeing of the town.

We recommend:
Restaurant "Grand Perper" in city center, ship-restaurant "Srbija" and restaurant "Dunavska koliba" on the bank of Danube.

JAGODINA

In the region around the river Morava, 151 km from Belgrade on the railway line Belgrade-Niš, there is a town of Jagodina. It is famous for the first glass manufacture in Serbia, but also for the first socialist Svetozar Marković, after whom it was named and known during several decades.

Travelling by the "Romantika" train offers a possibility to visit the Archangel Mikhail Temple (the old church), the County Museum and the Museum of Naïve and Marginal Art. At the Hill of Đurđe, a tourist centre located 3 km from the centre of the town, you can visit the zoo, relax in the aqua parks, visit the Wax Museum. The tourist complex includes several restaurants and coffee shops.

Transfer from the centre to the zoo by sight-seeing trains (RSD 50,00) or by a taxi, approximately RSD 150,00. The entrance to the zoo is RSD 200,00 for the aqua parks, RSD 300,00. Return by the sight-seeing train, or other means of transportation, to the railway station.

Departure from Belgrade at 07:00h (arrival at 10:45h), return from Jagodina at 19:05h (arrival to Belgrade at 22:40h).

SOMBOR

In the north-west region of Bačka plane, 175 km from Belgrade by rail, is the town of Sombor. The town rich in buildings from the beginning of 19th century, characterized by the Austrian architectural design.

The County District Court (to see famous painting ''The Battle at Senta'' and the drawing „Sombor from the Birds Perspective“). A walk along the High Street, guided sightseeing of the town’s center (the Holly Trinity Square, the Catolic Church of the Holly Trinity, the Sundial, the Orthodox Church of Saint George. Visit to the Art Gallery ''Milan Konjović''.

We recommend:
Afternoon ride on a horse-drawn carriages to Did-Hornjakov Salaš(typical lunch from Bačka, in a csarda (closed balcony/terrace) type of restaurant, accompanied by tamburitza players).

OVČAR BANJA

 

Ovcar-Kablar Gorge is located 199 km from Belgrade by rail, representing unique mixture of nature and cultural-historic heritage.

Between the mountains Ovčar and Kablar, intersected by the river West Morava, there is a natural mosaic of numerous floral and animal species, lakes reflecting wooded mountain ridges. The gorge is famous for the beauty of the scenery, typical relief, sources of thermal mineral water, but it is most famous for its numerous monasteries.

The Ovčar- Kablar region monasteries, present one of the most centralized sacral, cultural, and historic entities of Serbia, which has lasted for centuries and thus represent our cultural and artistic heritage which has been created for 6 centuries.

There is a possibility to visit 4 out of 9 monasteries: Jovanje, Uspenje, Blagoveštenje and Nikolje. The additional payment for mini-bus and also the ecology tax.

POŽAREVAC

Once famous as a resort of Old Romans, then as the secondary capital of the Prince Miloš Obrenović in the 19th century, Požarevac is today the seat of Braničevo region, the Eparchy of Braničevo. The town famous for its horse races at Ljubičevo is located at 98 km by rail from Belgrade, surrounded by the rivers the Danube, Velika Morava and Mlava.

If you want to learn abut the Požarevac cultural and historic heritage, you may visit: the County Town Hall, the town park called „Miloš in the Park“ with the monument of Prince Miloš Obrenović, the National Museum with its collection (fare is charged extra),

birth place and the gallery of the famous painter Milene Pavlović Barili (fare is paid extra), the Church of Saint Archangels Michael and Gabriel- 1819, Ethno Park „ Tulba“, horse farm Ljubičevo.

Travelling by "Romantika" visit Požarevac and use the opportunity to attend the famous horse races of Ljubičevo, held every year at the beginning of September. The entrance to Hippodrome is charged extra.
